Our comprehensive eye exam was designed to provide more than just an assessment of your vision but to also gather insight into your overall health. A comprehensive eye exam may be able to identify early signs of various diseases as well as cancer. Apart from a prescription for glasses (if needed), you can also expect your comprehensive eye exam to include the following tests: auto refraction, eye coordination, depth perception, color, eye pressure, visual field, optic nerve, and cataract. Comprehensive Eye Exams are performed by Dr. Carr with assistance from our techs Jessica and Johanna.
Contact Lenses area great alternatives to wearing glasses and many of our patients prefer them! If you are interested in trying contacts or are already wearing contacts and need an updated contact lens prescription, you can add a Contact Lens Fitting to your Comprehensive Eye Exam! During your contact lens fitting, our doctor will select and fit you for contacts based on your personal vision issues, prescription, overall eye health, lifestyle, age and comfort. Contact Lens Fittings are performed by Dr. Carr with assistance from our techs Jessica and Johanna.
When it comes to eyeglasses, we concentrate on the 3 F’s: Fit, Function, and Fashion! Your eyeglasses should fit properly, feel comfortable and look great without losing performance. During an eyeglass fitting our staff’s goal is to provide you with the best materials that meet your needs and budget, as well as educate you on options that can improve your eyewear experience. We will answer all of your questions and concerns in order to help you have a successful buying experience. Our eyeglass fittings are performed by Lead Optician Deidre with assistance from our trained staff members.
If you have never worn contacts before but have had a contact lens fitting, a contact lens training session comes next! Our staff is available to carefully instruct you on everything there is to know about your new contact lenses, from how to put them in and take them out to how to properly care for and store them when you get home. This service is complimentary following an eye exam with a contact lens fitting and is led by our trained staff members.
Tired of getting dilated when you come to the eye doctor? Wish there was another way to make sure your eye is healthy inside and out? Well, thanks to new technology, Visionary Eyeworks is able to offer Digital Retinal Imaging in place of standard dilation. This high-tech photography gives our doctor a peek inside your eye with zero downtime or side effects like light sensitivity and allows us to attach a physical image of your eye health to your chart in the event it’s needed down the road. Retinal Imaging is performed by our trained techs Jessica and Johanna and does often have an additional cost of $39 attached.
